Chemical solution deposition (CD) of PbSe takes place either by the cluster mechanism (nanocrystalline films) or by the ion-by-ion mechanism (films comprised of larger crystals). In this work we present a real time diagnostic method for determining the active deposition mechanism in CD of PbSe films using laser scattering measurements.
