The partial photoionization cross sections of the 5s, 4p, and 4s subshells of atomic strontium are calculated with the use of many-body perturbation theory. Resonance structure due to single excitations of the 4p and 4s electrons is studied in detail. The effect of spin-orbit splitting is included for some of the low-lying 4p{→}nd,ns resonances. The {β} asymmetry parameter is calculated for the 4p excitations. Comparison is made with other theory and experiment at the 5s threshold and for the spin-orbit splitting.
