Glauber type of eikonal approximation is examined with the classical trajectories taken as intersecting two straight line segments. The increased generality in the trajectories provides a significant improvement for large-angle scatterings and in the meantime does not alter the simple form of the Glauger-eikonal approximation for straight line trajectories. Numerical illustrations are given for both the differential and total elastic e-H scatterings.
