Deviations from the Lambert‐Beer's law of concentrated aqueous acidic solutions of methyl orange are shown to be due to the formation of aggregated species. Electrostatic attraction forces are most important in the aggregation process. As it is observed that daylight may abbreviate the induction period of the reaction, it is presumed that the aggregates are formed through the intermediary of the syn isomers of the dye.
