In water, salt and acid-soluble collagen from samples of scales and unaffected skin of 5 psoriatics and 2 healthy controls, the amount of protein and free aldehyde groups, the specific rotation and optical rotatory dispersion and the ultraviolet absorption spectra has been determined. The results indicate that psoriatic skin as a whole presents alterations similar to those which have been found characteristic of collagen diseases.
