The immunization status of 144 randomly selected two-year-old children in the Perth metropolitan area has been studied. Available records show that only 53% of these children had received a full immunization course as recommended by the Public Health Department. Seventy-five per cent of the children were fully immunized against poliomyelitis. The facilities available for immunization of children and the reasons for less than adequate immunization in this community are described and discussed.
