Dynamics of theÃ-state photodissociation of H2O at 193 nm

We report three dimensional classical trajectory studies on the photodissociation dynamics of the à 1 B 1 state of H2O prepared by a 193 nm excitation from the (000) or (001) vibrational states of the electronic ground state 1 A 1. Vibrational and rotational distributions of the dissociation fragment OH(X 2II) have been obtained and are in good agreement with experimental results and approximate quantum mechanical results.
