In this paper an improved optical method of determining the mutual diffusion coefficient as a function of concentration is presented. Measurements for carbon tetrachloride-ethyl alcohol and carbon tetrachloride-benzene mixtures are reported. The values of D obtained by this method are compared with those obtained by interferometric and diaphragm cell methods.
