Leptosphaeria elaeidis was described as an isolate from oil palm seedlings in Nigeria.Ascospores were brown and two septate, while asci were cylindrical with a J+ subapical ring.As the species was amphisphaeriaceous it was later transferred to Pestalosphaeria.In this paper, Pestalosphaeria elaeidis is redescribed and _ illustrated with interference contrast micrographs.
