A new photoluminescent oxygen sensor based on the luminescence intensities of tris(acethylacetonato) 1,10-phenanthroline terbium(III) complex (Tb(acac)3phen) doped in alumina film was developed. The luminescence intensity of the Tb(acac)3phen film decreased with increasing the oxygen concentration. Tb(acac)3phen film sensor is calibrated by the modified Stern–Volmer equation.
