The interaction of quasi two-dimensional electrons and polar optical phonons is studied by cyclotron resonance in inversion layers on InSb. We focus on resonant magnetopolarons, i.e., the resonant interaction that occurs when the cyclotron energy is approximately equal to the optical phonon frequencies. The experiments are performed in magnetic fields perpendicular and parallel to the inversion layer and thus allow to separate effects of dimensionality from effects of screening in the degenerate inversion electron system. The experimental results are compared with current theories and with experiments in other semiconductor structures.
