Sera from 25 patients suspected of having elevated fibrin/fibrinogen degradation products and from 101 postoperative patients were tested with a new latex agglutination test. The former were also tested by an immunodiffusion method. The results indicate that the latex agglutination technic is reliable and rapid and is suitable for use in the routine clinical laboratory.
