The effect of induced magnetic fields on the Earth based measurement of micropulsations is examined by means of two simple two-dimensional models, one with six and the other four variable parameters. The results show that a normally incident electromagnetic wave is most affected when the scale of the inhomogeneity is approximately equal to the skin depth of the incident wave in the inhomogeneous region.
