T h e hazard and frequency with which such lesions involve the duodenum, gallbladder, and other contiguour structures should be recognired. T h e technical difficulty encountered in performing adequate surgical procedures for cancer in the presence of such extensive fixation and its iniluence on resectability and survival rate5 are matters that need further appraisal.
