Retinal vascular occlusion is a significant cause of sudden vision loss and is often associated with an underlying hypercoagulable state. This case series presents six patients with retinal vascular occlusions associated with diverse underlying systemic vascular, embolic, inflammatory, and prothrombotic conditions across a broad age spectrum, highlighting the importance of comprehensive systemic evaluation in atypical presentations. This series emphasises the importance of systemic evaluation and multidisciplinary collaboration in establishing the underlying diagnosis, facilitating timely intervention, and reducing the risk of further ocular and systemic vascular events, thereby preserving both vision and overall health.
