Novel chiral dendritic catalysts carrying a TADDOL unit in their centers have been synthesized and fully characterized (1). The titanates of the dendritic TADDOLs, bearing either achiral or chiral branches, catalyzed the addition of Et2Zn to PhCHO with excellent selectivities that are comparable with those of catalysis by simple Ti TADDOLates.
