The energy spectrum of the simplest one-positron-atom system (H+e + ) is investigated within Bohr's atomic model. It is found that there is no bound state below the threshold for positronium formation, but the model does indicate a series of autoionisation levels. The adequacy of classical models in describing simple atomic systems in the states where correlation effects are dominant is discussed as well, and possible improvements to the model are outlined.
