For Pt,I, see abstr. A876 of 1974. The theory of (e, 2e) reactions given in a previous publication is modified in the light of experience with fitting data for atoms and molecules. The molecular orbitals are linear combinations of atomic orbitals in spherical polar coordinates. The general formulation is greatly simplified by using closure over unresolved rotational and vibrational states. Concrete examples of interest are formulated and discussed.
