An accurate determination of the values of m/e and v of three Ra B β-particles was made by means of an electrostatic spectrograph. It is shown that these particles obey the Lorentz model for electrons rather than the Abraham model, for velocities as high as 0.75 of the velocity of light. The uncertainty in the experiment is less than one-tenth the magnitude of the difference between the two models.
