The finding of choroidal tubercles allowed the successful early institution of antituberculotic therapy in three cases of acute miliary tuberculosis. In one case the lesions disappeared completely with therapy. The presence of choroidal tubercles is valuable, easily obtained, objective evidence of hematogenous tuberculosis. Their discovery should lead to a specific therapeutic trial of adequate length. Healing of the lesions, as well as a systemic response to treatment, is also of diagnostic significance.
