Case report observes localized verruca vulgaris developing entirely within a congenital melanocytic naevus in an adult, highlighting the concept of locus minoris resistentiae.
A 44-year-old female presented with asymptomatic lesions, gradually increasing in size and number, on a preexisting congenital melanocytic naevus.Examination showed keratotic papules, a few with filiform processes suggestive of Verruca vulgaris. These warts were restricted only to the site of a preexisting melanocytic naevus [Figure 1].Dermatoscopy showed black dots suggestive of thrombosed capillaries [Figure 2] with a melanocytic naevus in the background.
