Small C3-symmetric supramolecules, 1:3 complexes of tri(2-aminoethyl)amine (1) and 3,4,5-trialkoxybenzoic acid (2c–2n, R = (CH2)n−1CH3, n = 5–16) generated a stable hexagonal columnar phase. The phase behaviors, stoichiometry, supramolecular structure, and superstructure were investigated.
