The distribution of pain laterality was investigated in a sample of patients from a British Pain Relief Centre. The findings replicated those previously obtained by Hall et al. [1] in an American Pain Clinic sample. There was no evidence of preferential left lateralization of pain and no evidence that the frequency of left-sided pain varied with the presence or absence of a lesion.
