Various quinol‐4‐yl hydrazones on heating in high boiling solvents undergo cyclizations to give lH‐pyrrolo[3,2‐c]quinolines in good yields. Some of these pyrroloquinolines were alkylated to provide their N‐alkyl derivatives.
