Summary The pressor response to intravenous angiotensin II was depressed in sheep during the last third of gestation in a manner similar to that observed in sodium depletion. Sodium deficiency during pregnancy did not further depress it. It is suggested that reduced extracellular or intracellular sodium concentration may be the modifying factor in both pregnancy and sodium deficiency.
