A system for displaying the hysteresis loop of very small magnetic toroids at low frequencies is described using a single wire probe. Consideration is given to a method of calibration which simulates measurement conditions and enables the display and correction of distortion to be achieved. An economic method of sampling and averaging the output for improving the signal-to-noise ratio and feeding to an X-Y plotter is described.
