Validation study evaluates a standardized video-delivered Timed Up and Go test in mild stroke patients, indicating potential for remote functional recovery monitoring.
The telehealth-based neurologic examination is limited in functional assessments. For telehealth-based after stroke care, validated video-based clinical assessments are needed to monitor recovery remotely. While Timed Up and Go (TUG) is an established measure for balance and mobility, reliability, and validity when conducted remotely is unknown. We sought to develop procedures to standardize telehealth-delivered TUG (i.e., tele-TUG) and assess test properties.
