NMR magnets using high-temperature superconductors (HTS) to generate high magnetic field exceeding 25 Tesla are currently being designed by some research organizations. To design a magnet, the critical current density, Jc, of superconductors in the high-field region is an important factor. In addition, electromagnetic force in superconductors should be considered for magnet quench and degradation of superconductors. Hoop stress is a very important factor in the design of multi-solenoid magnets. A modeling magnet consisting of multi-coils has been assumed for the calculation of several properties under the condition that the maximum hoop stress of every coil has the same value. The calculations show that there are certain relationships among the central magnetic field Bo, the magnet volume, and the stored energy. The results showed that these values correlate with the exponential of B0squared.
