Observations are reported of the rate at which flux enters or leaves various specimens of type II superconductors when the applied magnetic field is suddenly changed, and the results are used to deduce values of the flux flow resistivity. It is shown that Kim's empirical relation for this resistivity is obeyed both in NbTa alloys ( l < ξ) and in pure niobium ( l > ξ). Some account of the observed magnetization curves in the specimens is also included.
