It is shown that linear spin wave theory provides for the nearly isotropic antiferromagnet in two and three dimensions an excellent estimate of the zero point spin reduction Delta . The leading corrections to linear spin wave theory for Delta are shown to vanish for vanishing anisotropy alpha like alpha 1/2 and alpha ln alpha in two and three dimensions respectively.
