We review the primary sequence information of plasma apolipoproteins (apos) among different species. We further present sequence alignments of apoC-I, apoC-II, and apoE and analyze the probable structure-function relationships of these proteins as well as of apoA-I and apoB100 based on the degree of sequence conservation among different species.
