The use of computerized grain feeding system is shown to have positive impacts on the profitability of Mid‐Atlantic representative dairy farms. In particular, the use of the new technology is important in improving farm financial performance during bad economic conditions. A dynamic, whole farm, capital budgeting simulation approach is used in the economic analysis.
