This paper investigates the feasibility of using features of glaciated (Pleistocene) landscapes of Belarus' and adjacent areas visible on remote sensing imagery to infer information about landform-shaping processes at work during earlier periods (crustal deformations starting during the late Oligocene). The author attempts to link specific natural territorial complexes detectable on remote sensing imagery to recent geochemical and geophysical regimes reflecting glacioisostatic conditions, and the latter, in turn, with more ancient tectonic events.
