Serial determinations of serum glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase (SGO-T) were recorded during the entire course of a patient, a woman 51 years of age. who survived unilateral renal arterial infarction. SGO-T levels were also studied in 10 dogs with surgically induced renal infarctions. The values rose to a maximum on the first day after infarction and returned to normal by the third day. The maximum elevations ranged from 62 to 155 units per milliliter.
