The isotope shifts of ⁴¹K and 12.4-h ⁴²K relative to ³⁹K were studied in the D₁ line (4²P1/2→4²S1/2) 7699 {} by the atomic beam method and found to be +7.4 ±{} 0.3 and + 16 ±{} 4, respectively, in units of 10^-3{cm}^{{-}1}$.
