The thiirane moiety is an important substance and shows some important biological activities. Recently, much attention has been focused on thiirane derivatives for their scarcity of their pharmacological activities. Various substituted thiirane derivatives have also been reported to show cytotoxic properties. The combination of two or more heterocyclic and non-heterocyclic systems enhances or other substitution affects their biological profile better than parent nuclei. We consider some compounds bearing thiirane in their molecular framework.
