The anisotropic magnetic susceptibilities of cerium intermetallic compounds, CeCu 2 Si 2 , CeCu 6 and CeCu 2 single crystals have been analyzed using the crystal field theory. The susceptibility calculated on the basis of appropriate crystal field level scheme of each compound explains fairly well the temperature dependence and anisotropy of the measured susceptibility.
