The synthesis, spectroscopic data, and structure determinations of the allene complexes CpMn(CO) 2 L 3a − c ( a, L = C 3 H 4; b, C 3 H 2 F 2; c, C 3 F 4 ) are described. The analysis of the IR spectroscopic data revealed increasing acceptor properties on increasing the number of fluorine substituents, making tetrafluoroallene a better π-acceptor ligand than CO.
