The occurrence of primary hepatocellular carcinoma in three male siblings is reported. The brothers died after brief illnesses at 11, 22 and 31 years of age without evidence of associated hepatic disease. Special attention was given to environmental history but no definite exposure to known hepatic carcinogens was discovered. There was no history of primary hepatocellular carcinoma in any other member of the family.
