Films (mostly of Form 2 crystal structure), 50 μm thick, of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVF2) were uniaxially stretched at 60 °C and then annealed at 120 °C. Small-angle light scattering patterns (SALS) were taken of the samples in the Hv scattering mode (i.e., crossed polarizers). The results show that a four-lobe scattering pattern due to undeformed spherulites changes to an eight-lobe pattern on uniaxial stretching of PVF2 films.
