We have constructed a three-channel digital (ratio) photometer using TTL integrated circuit. Each channel has its own separate scaler and timer with eight-digit counting capacities. The instrument is particularly useful for precise determinations of correlation lengths of critical fluid systems and for size studies of small macromolecules in solution. It has an estimated resolution of 13 Å and 17 Å in the correlation length for λ0 = 4880 Å and 6328 Å, respectively. The instrument overlaps comfortably with the size ranges accessible by means of small angle scattering of x-rays.
