The examination of 13C‐NMR spectra of some unsaturated homopolymers (polyalkenylenes and polypentadienes) has shown that it is possible to distinguish beween 1,2‐and 1,4‐structures and between cis‐ and trans‐configuration of the double bonds along the chain. By using this technique, it has been possible to obtain evidences on the structure and the relative orientation of monomeric units in alternating copolymers of isoprene with acrylonitrile or propene. Copolymers of butadiene with these two latter comonomers were also examined by this method.
