Nursing students may not readily see the relevance of theoretical research content to nursing practice. This article describes an approach to teaching research that uses a video of phenomenological research to enhance students' learning of research concepts. The use of this approach has the potential to facilitate learning of basic information about the research process and help students see the relevance of research for their practice.
