In this paper we obtain solutions in terms of complex potentials to static problems of generalized plane stress for infinite strips of isotropic elastic material. We solve the following types of problems: I. Specified stresses (including isolated forces) along both straight boundaries.(Sections (I)–(II).) II. Specified displacements along both straight boundaries. (Section (12).) III. Specified displacements along one straight boundary and specified stresses along the other. (Sections (13)–(15).) IV. Isolated forces in the interior of infinite strips with (a) both boundaries stress-free; (b) both boundaries free from displacements; (c) one boundary free from displacements and the other stress-free. (Sections (16)–(21).)
