We report a case of epikeratoplasty used to correct high myopia in a contact lens intolerant adult. The donor lenticule was removed because of under-correction. Progressive scarring occurred at the Bowman's membrane level, and the corneal curvature flattened. The patient obtained good uncorrected visual acuity, but subepithelial scarring produced photophobia and glare. Eventually, the scarring diminished. While the uncorrected acuity remains good, the keratometry has not stabilized.
