This paper intends to explore the effectiveness of educational short-term groups for divorced and separated parents. The present research evaluates the effectiveness of the program according to two criteria: achieving the goals and satisfaction with the program. The questionnaire was examined with 130 parents (76 mothers, 54 fathers) who took part in a Parent Education Program organized by Family Court Social Services, all over Israel. Results indicate that the participants experienced the program as achieving its goals at a rate of 82.2%, and satisfaction at a rate of 89.0%. The most achieved goal was the support from the members of the group (at the rate of 89.9%).
