Because of the importance of carbonates to the ceramic industry, the dissociation of these materials has been studied by differential thermal analysis. Thermal‐analysis curves were obtained for forty‐three samples of limestone, magnesite, dolomite, cerussite, witherite, strontianite, lithium carbonate, sodium carbonate, potassium carbonate, and ammonium carbonate in this survey.
