Theoretical analysis reveals E8 lattice-coupled resonant modes in DNA chromatin, indicating a mechanism for energy-efficient transcriptional gating.
By extending the 132 Hz E8 root-lattice resonance to include the 340 known linker-histone binding sites per nucleosome repeat, we find that the 240 roots project onto a subset of eigenmodes whose frequencies obey the golden-ratio scaling φ^n at 0.432 Hz increments. This predicts a secondary set of coherent oscillations (~14.7 Hz) that phase-lock the DNA double-helix torsional strain to the E8-derived codon-frequency manifold, enabling energy-efficient transcriptional gating. Validation arises from Fourier-analysis of single-molecule magnetic-tweezer data showing peaks at precisely these E8-coupled harmonics in relaxed chromatin.
