This review describes the scope and properties of the electromagnetic interactions of hadrons and how these interactions can serve to test models and theories of hadron structure. The discussion focuses especially on the quark and parton models. Their predictions are compared with the data and shown to be generally in good agreement. The review also discusses the vector meson dominance model of hadron electromagnetic interactions.
