Although the presence of coagulopathy is a contraindication to the use of regional anesthesia, there are instances in which such anesthesia may be given in patients with unrecognized clotting disorders. The current study was designed to assess the extent of post-block sequelae in parturients who received regional anesthesia in the face of unrecognized thrombocytopenia.
